Fly fishing for true winter run steelhead is a hard game and a serious challenge. It is certainly not for everyone and promised to test your patience, skill set and gear. In Northern BC, there are a few rivers that have true winter run steelhead. These steelhead are among the most difficult steelhead to hook. December, January, February is when you can pursue these elusive chrome river giants. The payouts are few and far between but as Captain Quinn often notes, the harder you work for something the more you appreciate it when it finally comes.
