The B.C. steelhead the advocacy community has sent a letter to B.C. Premier John Horgan in an eleventh-hour attempt to keep at least a flicker of hope alive for Thompson River steelhead.
The steelhead situation on the Thompson has been an ongoing tale of failed management by the DFO. Flags were being raised 10 years ago when the run on the Thompson was 850 fish. This year that number is projected to be just 86 fish.
