An important call to action from Idaho Rivers United.
The South Fork of the Salmon River needs your help. This incredible river supplies habitat for threatened and endangered salmon and trout, as well as some of Idaho’s best expert-level whitewater. It is also a candidate for inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. American Rivers found the South Fork of the Salmon River to be one of America’s Most Endangered Rivers in 2020, for the 3rd year in a row. Why? The potential for a large-scale, destructive mine in the headwaters of this irreplaceable watershed.

Tell the Forest Service that they must choose Alternative 5, the No Action Alternative, to prevent the large-scale destruction of habitat and immense risks posed by the Stibnite Gold Project. All action alternatives in the DEIS would harm ESA listed chinook salmon, steelhead, and bull trout, and threaten the irreplaceable recreation resources downstream.
