Oh Keef! His peerless guitar in “Miss You” is presently tormenting some distinctly plodding Brits perhaps as far as 80 yards away as they try to cook their Sunday lunches here. The “other guitar”, by Ronnie Wood, a man born just a couple of miles away from where I am sat writing this, in very fine too. Back in summer 1976 I foolishly bumped into Ronnie and another, local boy, British rocker from a band called The Sweet, having a drink or two (as was their wont) on the green outside a very rough English Public House drinking hole, The Cherry Tree. They saw my 501s and long hair as I walked past the place and offered to buy me a drink. Then another. I baled out after four (to their eight), having realised my mistake much too late. Not called the Best Rock and Roll Band In The World for nothing. Thanks.
