A controversial study pinning blame for poor salmon returns mostly on ocean conditions and largely dismissing freshwater influences is getting pushback from scientists who have long said dams play an important role in survival rates.

Well they would say that, wouldn’t they? Careers, jobs, professorships, endless extremely well-funded new studies and their inconclusive (better commission another one) reports…..
Of course dams do damage, but when until pretty recently hugely productive Salmon Etc rivers WITHOUT them have crashed their once nothing-can-stop-them runs in a mere eyeblink of time decade or three….
As for the damned dams themselves crashing … not looking so good.
