After his family fled the communist regime in Slovakia, Matus Sobolic found himself in Los Angles at a young age. Not knowing any English when he first moved to the states, he was forced to navigate this new place on his own. Even during the most difficult of times, he always found his place in the outdoors. Matus devotes his days to bouldering the most technical rocks in some of the most famous climbing areas, shooting under par on the disk golf course, and needless to say, casting flies to trout in the Eastern Sierras. Matus should remind us all that doing the things we enjoy in the outdoors is essential for reconnecting with ourselves. So once this video ends, get up and get outside because you only have one life to live; don’t waste a single day.
