Just when you thought all of the political spin around Melania Trump’s plagiarism was out of control, the oil industry drops some spin crazy enough to make the “My Little Pony Defense” seem sensible. According to several representatives advocating for a proposed oil-by-rail terminal that could be built in Vancouver, Washington, oil spills are actually good for fish, wildlife, and local economies. Even more appalling is that these spokesmen seem peeved that they aren’t getting credit for the positive environmental impacts of oil spills.
You gotta give them this – they may not have their heads on straight, but they certainly do have some cojones…
