An analysis of public comments on the fate of U.S. marine monuments and sanctuaries found that over 99% of Americans supporting one or all of the parks.
Following a 45-day public comment period in which over 53,000 official comments were filed with the U.S. Department of Commerce concerning the creation or expansion of five marine monuments and six national marine sanctuaries, Marine Conservation Institute has completed an analysis of a random sample of those comments that reveals near unanimous support.
