President Biden has ordered NOAA to collect information on increasing the resilience of fisheries as part of his plan to address climate change and protect 30% of U.S. ocean areas by 2030.
As part of that plan, NOAA has been hosting a series of town halls soliciting stakeholders’ input on how to make the nation’s fisheries more resilient to climate change.
The fishing industry’s response?
Climate change doesn’t exist. At least not in the ocean.
