Bob Hooten with an update on the story of the rich and famous anglers hosted by Bass Pro owner John Morris that were confronted by Department of Fisheries and Oceans Fisheries Officers on BC’s Ecstall River.
Despite the Skeena and all its tributaries being closed to all salmon angling, the Bass Pro party was able to fish under the banner of a First Nations permit issued to them by DFO to accommodate fishing for food social and ceremonial purposes.

The photo caption and the photo itself are misleading regarding Manning and Bentley. The photo is from a trip in 2016, not 2018. What the lodge did this year seems outrageous but it’s not fair to Manning or Bentley to imply they participated.
