Last May, in a unanimous vote, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Atlantic Striped Bass Management Board, agreed to initiate a new addendum to the striped bass management plan, which would reduce fishing mortality to its target level in the 2024 season.
It now appears that some states are looking to “kick the can down the road.”
