Every moment we spend on the water should always be cherished and savored – and never taken for granted. At Simms, we’ve come to realize that fishing isn’t a pastime. It’s not a hobby. And it’s not a sport. Fishing is our way of life. And we firmly believe we all owe it to ourselves to make as much time as possible to do the things we truly live for. After all, you get one life. #FishItWell.
Nice to see the, beside the river road out of town, Rio Grande TDF, giant concrete sea-trout plus rodeo rider. I have a pic of the same monster from a mid 1990s season on the day that the gang of extremely laidback / barely working steel welders and concrete fabricators that had made the thing over the past several weeks declared it finished and packed up their machinery and tools and went away.
So, being in town doing some food and hooks and flytying materials shopping the very same morning, and before anybody else did it……..
I have to say, though, that the quietly smiling, wild- and windblown-haired , very pretty woman who was down in the Argentine TDF and Gallegos south with me that year, though not wearing any Simms gear at the time, just pair of blue jeans and a cowgirl shirt, looks a whole lot better in the pic that I took of her astride the same pretty ugly creature on the day it was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world.
