Very popular with some British flyfishers from the post- Falklands War mid 1980s to the mid 1990s, at least until Argentine Tierra del Fuego’s splendid Rio Grande, then, two ot three years later, the equally magnificent Rio Gallegos on the southern mainland became available (I might have had something to do with the latter, not its later selling but its early exploring and “try this, and this, and how about that…?” innovating years of fishing ….).
