Despite widespread opposition, the state of Alaska has appealed the EPA’s ruling on the Pebble Mine directly to the Supreme Court.
Consovoy McCarthy PLLC is the firm that filed the appeal, the same firm that successfully argued against the Biden student loan forgiveness program and affirmative action in college admissions. It would be interesting to know how much taxpayer dollars are spent on these corporate lawyers, given that most Alaska residents oppose the Pebble Project.
