Moving to dismantle former President Barack Obama’s legacy on the environment and other issues, House Republicans approved a measure Wednesday that scuttles a regulation aimed at preventing coal mining debris from being dumped into nearby streams. According to proponents of the bill, this regulation needs to be repealed because it’s a thinly veiled attempt by radical environmentalists to regulate the coal industry and has nothing to do with streams. So don’t worry folks, coal debris getting dumped into your rivers won’t affect the water quality and wildlife on these critical bodies of water.
