In this NY Times Op-Ed, Chris Wood, president and chief executive of Trout Unlimited, expresses some very wishful thinking that President Trump will stand up to Congress’s recent rollback of the Stream Protection Rule.

Unfortunately for those of us that care about clean water, Trump campaigned on the issue, and his intention to rescind the rule was stated explicitly on his administration’s transition team website:
We will end the war on coal, and rescind the coal mining lease moratorium, the excessive Interior Department stream rule, and conduct a top-down review of all anti-coal regulations issued by the Obama Administration.
Perhaps the new Interior Secretary will come to the rescue?
