I am very sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but all this recent “well-appointed” Peacock Bass Stuff (mine were far less so, but still just as surface action heart-stopping) is reminding me of Coppola’s “Apocalypse Now” and the great, 1899, Joseph Conrad (Congo-set, now that’s a river….) novella that inspired it, “Heart of Darkness”. I think it’s time to put some Jim and The Doors on. Loud, very loud. Make it so.
