Boggan’s Oasis, an iconic cafe and fishing staging area on the Grande Ronde River burned to the ground in mid November. For decades, Boggan’s has served as a base for getting fishing guides and shuttles to float and fish the Grande Ronde, as well as for whopper breakfasts, pies, ice cream and old-fashioned milk shakes.
Bill and Farrel Vail have operated the business for the past 34 years. Their hard work and tenacity of keeping Boggan’s open has always been evident whether you were just visiting or had known them for years. They have always been there for many us if in need at the bottom of Rattlesnake Grade.
Now it is time for us to help them.
