New legislation in Congress is the latest move in a battle over a private hatchery, which a group of anglers say threatens the fly-fishing mecca of the Midwest — the “Holy Waters” of the Au Sable, a 9-mile river section so named for its cold, clean, wade-able water and abundance of fly hatching and wild trout.
