Numerous environmental organizations including Bonefish & Tarpon Trust is urging the Bahamian government to reject a proposed $580 million South Abaco resort project due to “tremendous concerns” over its “financial viability and environmental impact”.
The plan for a two-site, “ultra high-end residential and hotel development” spread across 1,086 acres, is fraught with environmental complications and challenges.
