Public hearings on the proposed rules are set for the end of February. However, a new report shows that thousands of miles of waterways all across the U.S. are threatened by contamination from different chemical toxins, and the authors are calling for stricter enforcement of rules already in place—not less. And they’re also calling for even more—a total transition away from industries that use and produce water contaminating toxins.
