The Grande Isle Tarpon Rodeo began in 1928 when the tarpon rolled within sight of Grand Isle. Over the years, we’ve shared photos of large “silver kings” on the hook at the Grand Isla Marina weigh station.
The good news is that most of the effort now focuses on the tarpon tag-and-release program.
