I want to keep my quilt and maybe some cloth dry. I want to use the dry bag instead of a pack liner. I think I trust a dry bag more than a liner and I like that I can keep my stuff a bit more separated
setup
no pack liner or cover
backpack is water repellent not waterproof (osprey talon 44)
Context
heavy or multi day rain.
On rare occasions I might swim across a river with the pack besides me in the water.
I was looking at a osprey Ultralight Drysack 20L at 90g but I dont know if this is waterproof enough or I should go with a thicker TPU coated drybag at 114g.
