Wonderful, at least in most ways – I have known fishers who could cast up a storm but who, when put on a river, simply could NOT fish…
I just hate to think what El’ in ‘Stranger Things’ would get up to and do if she ever took up fly casting. And as for flyfishing … she’d be probably be hooking steelhead in rivers a few watersheds away.
I’m sure Mel Kreiger would be smiling his wonderful, lazy, enigmatic but quietly knowing smile somewhere in Anglers’ Valhalla on seeing that video of Maxine. Lovely kid.
