Of course, it must be my over-worked imagination / worryingly warped mind, but a first glance at that lodge building somehow got me thinking about an axe-wielding “Here’s Johnny!” Jack Nicholson in Kubrick’s The Shining. Or the consistently weird goings-on at that heavily haunted timber-built hotel in Twin Peaks….
Get a grip, take a look at the fishing in the film, Paul.
PS – After further overnight rumination. Add to the BC – Pacific West Lodge Style a touch of Dodge City or similar, Wild West Saloon, but without the amenable Westworld dancing girls.
Further mad one before I go: with so many 1990s to mid 2000s, Hollywood-Cali Big Money-built, traditional timber, private fishing lodges / ranch-house retreats coming up for sale for unfeasibly large numbers of $s (think of a figure then add multiple noughts) at the moment and with them possibly more than a little slow to find buyers, perhaps they could re-purposed as upscale Care Homes for The Piscatorial Ancient? They’re going to have to go somewhere before too very long.

Just some dangerously transgressive thoughts.
Thanks for your effort, good job. So interesting.
