Here’s a fun fact: The saying Dog Days of Summer has nothing to do with lazy K9’s. It’s an ancient Greek reference to the position of the “dog star”, Sirius, during this time of the year.

Another fun fact: Canus Major (the constellation of which Sirius is the nose) chases a rabbit, Lepus, through the night sky.
